The first Pokemon GO-related body discovery occurred in Wyoming, and now another one has been found at Rotary Park, Nashua.
Rotary Park is a pretty prominent landmark in downtown Nashua, and it serves as a PokeStop for trainers. Apparently, a player was led to a rather obscure spot in Rotary Park while hunting down Pokemon on the app, and that’s how he found the victim before notifying the police.
“The man called police at about 2 p.m.
“Apparently the person … was playing this Pokémon game, which led him to an obscure spot,” Nashua police Lt. Robert Giggi told reporters. “That’s how he came across the victim.”
The victim was an adult man, Giggi said. Police were working to identify him. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.”
A lot of unfortunate incidents have occurred since the launch of Pokemon GO, including accidents and even armed robberies at secluded PokeStops late at night. Niantic has also reminded players to stay safe and alert while enjoying the app. Remember to be aware of your surroundings, trainers.
