Overwatch Is Getting 4K Enhancements on Xbox One X

Blizzard has confirmed that Overwatch will be getting a patch to make use of the additional power of the Xbox One X.

In an interview with Windows Central, Blizzard confirmed that the team was “currently exploring” how the game experience can be enhanced on the Xbox One X. Though we don’t know the full extent of what Overwatch’s Xbox One X patch will bring in terms of enhancements, it does seem like a 4K resolution option will be included. [The] Overwatch team is excited with great possibilities Xbox One X opens. The team is currently exploring how the game experience can be enhanced on this platform to leverage the console’s incredible hardware, and is working on implementing 4K resolution in the game on Xbox One X. It is very important for the team to make sure the user interface looks natural on a truly big screen. We will share more details about our plans for 4K support on Xbox One X later.

Exactly when the Xbox One X patch will be available for Overwatch remains to be seen, but at least it sounds like we’ll get more news on it soon.
