Once again, analyst Mat Piscatella delivers the news via Twitter.

The Last of Us Part II was the month’s best-selling game and skyrocketed to 3rd place among the best-selling games of 2020. It’s also ranked 8th among the highest-grossing games in the past twelve months.

On top of that, it generated the highest dollar sales in its launch months among all games released in 2020. It’s also the second-best in this metric in PlayStation’s first-party history after Marvel’s Spider-Man.

The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware platform in June in the U.S. both for dollar sales and units sold.

Below you can check out all the relevant charts, including those broken down by platforms. Interestingly, Persona 4: Golden entered the month’s best-selling chart in 18th place following its Steam launch.

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
