According to Sensor Tower, Pokémon GO has earned over $200 million in global revenue within its first month of release on the App Store and Google Play combined. That’s almost ten times as much money as Candy Crush made within its first month, and we all know someone who’s mother spent a chunk of her live savings on all those sweet power-ups.

Below you can see an image that visually represents how much money Pokémon GO made compared to its biggest competitors: Candy Crush and the rather recent Clash Royale. In the game, golden Pokécoins can be used to buy a variety of useful items, ranging from Pokéballs to Lure Modules and Backpack Upgrades. Those coins are earned by capturing and holding Gyms, but they can also be bought with real money by topping up your account. To think that developer Niantic has earned $200 million from optional in-game purchases in just one month is absolutely insane.
