As usual, the data’s is as of exactly a month ago, since it relates to the quarter ended on September 2019.

The infographc below shows you exactly how many Nintendo Switch units have been shipped to retailers, alongside software units, and the same goes for the venerable 3DS.

The hybrid console has now reached 41.67 million units worldwide.

This means that Nintendo shipped 4.8 million Switch units worldwide during the quarter (between July 1 and September 30). The “Mini” version of the console certainly has done wonders to boost shipments.

By comparison, Sony Interactive Entertainment shipped 2.8 million PS4 units during the same quarter, reaching 102.8 million units in the console’s lifetime.

We also get the (unchanged) outlook for the current fiscal year, which goes all the way to March 31, 2020. Nintendo still predicts to sell 18 million Switch units in the period, which would bring the total to 52.74 units if that goal was achieved.

If you want to compare, you can check out the previous update that was released in July and related to the fiscal year ended on June 30, 2019.
