In an interview on Major Nelson’s podcast, Xbox Boss Phil Spencer touched on a couple of topics – among them was the changes that Microsoft is making to its E3 2017 presentation.

Microsoft is moving its presentation from Monday morning to Sunday afternoon. Spencer spoke about how this should allow the announcements to resonate a little better than they did on the Monday morning, when it would have to share with other publishers. It would also give Microsoft longer to run the show.

The booth will also be in a different hall this year, with a fresh layout as the company makes every effort to accommodate the public – this year’s E3 is also open to the public for the first time since its inception.

“What we’re trying to make sure this booth is about, and we’re going to learn so bear with us, everybody that’s going to be there. We’re trying to make a booth that will allow more people to play as many games and getting, as you said, our meeting rooms and everything else out of the way. It shows no lack of commitment to E3. I think E3’s an incredibly important point for our industry and something that we’re committed to make great and I can’t wait to see all of our fans down there.”

E3 is running from June 13-15 2017 in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
