Nintendo launched its new console, the Switch, earlier this year in March and the hybrid console that can also be taken out on the go has been a huge hit with both gamers and critics. Not only has the console itself been successful, it has been backed up by some critically acclaimed games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the recently released Super Mario Odyssey. The Switch has also seen plenty of third party support with games like DOOM, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and FIFA 18.
Despite being released almost three months into 2017, the Switch has been outselling the likes of the PS4 and Xbox and has set all kinds of records. Today it has been reported by GamingBolt that the Switch is now the best-selling console of 2017 in Canada. Not bad considering the PS4 and Xbox had a head start.
With the Holiday season fast approaching, Nintendo will no doubt be hoping to push sales of the Switch even further with shoppers buying gifts for their gamer friends and family.
