The news came via a tweet from the Nintendo of America Twitter account, included below. The event will take place on Jan. 13 at 9:30 AM EST, the day after Nintendo announces the major details regarding the hybrid console.

While the event on Jan. 12 will likely cover details such as price, release date, and launch lineup, the Treehouse Live event will give players an in-depth look at the games coming to the Nintendo Switch both at launch and those that follow.

If the Switch Treehouse event follows the same format as previous Treehouse events, fans can expect to see plenty of gameplay footage, demos, and developer and executive interviews.

Other than the initial reveal trailer, Nintendo has stayed silent regarding the Switch and the games that are coming to it. We’ll be covering both the reveal event on Jan. 12 and the Treehouse event on Jan. 13, so be sure to check back with us for all of the details on the Switch.
