BioWare’s New IP Isn’t an RPG, Will Be Out By March 2018

Will it be set in space?

While the folks over at BioWare are undoubtedly hard at work at development for Mass Effect: Andromeda, the company’s also working on a brand new IP on the side. We’ve known that the company had a new game or series in the works, but not much else. During EA’s investor conference call this week, it was stated that the new game can be expected by the end of the 2017 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2018. It was also stated that the new game was not an RPG, and is instead an action-adventure title.

In addition to that, BioWare also posted a new update on the company blog, giving a few more details about their new project.

‘In 2012, we began crafting a new universe full of new characters, stories, and gameplay. Our ambition is simple: Draw upon 20+ years of development knowledge and lessons to create something fun and new for you to enjoy with your friends.

There’s nothing quite as exciting as building a new IP from scratch, and it will be even more thrilling for us to share more with you in the future.’

We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
