While Nintendo has yet to officially reveal the NX to gamers, they have been showing the console to various companies. One such company was Take-Two, whose CEO Strauss Zelnick recently revealed that they feel ‘pretty enthusiastic’ about the NX.
Zelnick revealed this in a recent interview with GamesIndustry where he said that they never “wanted to count Nintendo out…so we feel pretty enthusiastic actually.” It’s worth noting that Zelnick is “already excited” about the NX, but they won’t be rushing into making NX games, in the same way that Take-Two aren’t rushing into the VR market.
Zelnick also defended Nintendo against comments made by GamesIndustry, when they said that Nintendo were in a slump. According to him, they’ve been “doing it for like 15o years” and that they have no problem letting things decline while they move onto the next thing. “It’s not a slump, it’s intentional. They come to market, they do really well, and then they sort of exit the market for a period of time.”
