Nintendo Is Streaming a Summer Nindies Showcase This Week

It's all about the Nindies, baby.
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Nintendo didn’t have a huge presence at Gamescom 2017 this year, but that’s okay. There are plenty of other opportunities for the behemoth to show off what it’s got up its sleeve, and usually that’s shared as of late via streams and pre-recorded presentations. That’s exactly what’s happening this week at the Nindies Showcase Summer 2017, which Nintendo is streaming this Wednesday, August 30 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

The event will be streamed live via YouTube and Nintendo.com as Nintendo shows off some of its upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch from indie developers. There have been several awesome selections that have already come to the system, so hopefully this showcase will introduce some new and exciting titles that we haven’t already heard about, most likely in digital form.

As far as what we can expect, the hope is that there might be a Hyper Light Drifter port coming soon, or a possible release date for the Switch version of Stardew Valley. Whatever the case, more games coming to the Switch is never a bad thing, and you can’t go wrong when it comes to supporting indie gaming, so make it a point to check out the stream on Wednesday and then check in here at Twinfinite to see all the updates from the showcase you may have missed. We’ll be here to bring you all the latest details.
