Nintendo Indie World Showcase Coming, Promising 20 Minutes of Titles

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

As we near the end of 2019, the gaming giants are coming forward for their final reveals of the year. Nintendo and Sony are having their own livestreams on the same day, Tuesday Dec. 10. Sony’s State of Play (as previously reported) now has a little competition, with Nintendo’s recently announced Indie World Showcase happening only 4 hours later at 10am PT/1pm ET.

The details being offered for the Indie Games Showcase promises “roughly” 20 minutes of indie titles to be revealed for the Nintendo Switch.

The livestream being only a day away, details given by Nintendo are scarce so we can only go off of the previous Indie World Showcase that took place in August of this year.

During the August stream, which lasted 23 minutes, 29 titles were unveiled. These showcases are worth watching even for any non-Nintendo fans out there, as many of the games shown will be multiplatform and there are usually release dates given.

The precedent of 29 titles brings a heavy chunk of expectation, especially considering this stream seems to be what Nintendo is using to close out the year.

For those wanting to get a jump on bookmarking where the stream will be, it can be found here.
