Super Mario Maker, one of the most popular games of 2015, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS. During the recent Nintendo Direct Briefing, Nintendo announced the news that the 3DS edition will be released on December 2.
The base game will include 100 built-in levels along with the ability to download levels from a friend or via StreetPass. Unlike the Wii U version, the 3DS game won’t allow you to download other people’s levels over the internet.
As GameSpot reports, players who have the 3DS edition will be able to work together to create levels by sending their half finished levels to other players to build upon. Super Mario Maker 3DS will allow you to build on the go.
Since its release in 2015, Super Mario Maker has been a huge hit and helped breath life into the flagging Wii U console along with other titles such as Splatoon and Mario Kart Racer. Players who don’t own a Wii U will be pleased to learn the game is headed for the 3DS.
