The Sexy Brutale is an upcoming adventure puzzle game being developed by Tequila Works and Cavalier Game Studios. It’s been given a release date of April 12 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The trailer below was released at the same time as the launch date announcement. Take a look:
Players will take on the role of Lafcadio Boone, a priest attempting to foil a murder plot inside the titular Sexy Brutale casino mansion.
The game is an intriguing blend of sumptuous art with pulp-fiction puzzling and adventure leanings. It takes place within a single day, only that day is on a loop in the style of Groundhog Day, or Majoras Mask. It will fall to Boone to break this temporal cycle, prevent the slew of grisly murders, and uncover the casino mansion’s myriad secrets.
Tequila Works are the same Madrid-based developer behind the recently re-revealed Rime – an adventure game cut from the same cloth as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and one that also recently had a gameplay trailer released.
