New Final Fantasy VII Remake Japanese Commercials Tee Up Story & Showcase Combat

Less than a month away from Final Fantasy VII’s anticipated release Square Enix is dialing up the marketing. Today it’s released five clips over on its YouTube channel spotlighting new commercials that have aired on Japanese networks; the first three are live-action sequences with Final Fantasy VII Remake footage peppered, while the last two focus entirely on the game, teeing up its epic story and highlight combat.

Before you check out the story trailer do be advised that there are some minor spoilers. If you want to go into the game completely dark then you might be better off sticking to the combat clip, which is directly underneath.

Final Fantasy VII Remake’s first game will launch on PS4 on April 10, 2020.

Incidentally, we also recently learned that the game is exclusive to PS4 until April 10, 2021, beyond which it could come to other platforms, though none have yet been confirmed.
