There’s still a whole new adventure coming to The Witcher 3 in early 2016. By the look of things, the new expansion is going to add a bright splash of color the world of The Witcher. Today we got our first look at the region of Touissant from the upcoming expansion Blood and Wine.
Touissant is a duchy far to the south of the squalid war torn realms of the North in The Witcher 3. A carefree air hangs over the region, as Geralt will have mysteries to uncover and monsters to slay. CD Projekt Red describes Touissant as a place,
“Where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.”
According to the development team, Blood and Wine will add on an additional 20-30 hours of adventuring to The Witcher 3. Touissant is a brand new, expansive region for players to explore. Launching sometime in the spring, Blood and Wine will cost $20 unless you’ve previously purchased the season pass for The Witcher 3.
Recently at The Game Awards, The Witcher 3 took home the award for game of the year. CD Projekt Red also was also chosen as developer of the year. Take a look at the bright screenshots below. What do you think about the new region of Touissant? Are you ready for more of The Witcher 3, or are you still making your way through the main game? Let us know in the comments below.
