Nintendo has outlined some of the changes to seasonal events that Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can expect to see in the coming months. These will come in a free update later this month.
From April 29 to May 7, players can participate in the May Day event by receiving a ticket from Orville to travel to an island with a maze. If you participated in May Day last year, the destination will appear to be different this time around.
From May 18 to May 31, players can celebrate International Museum Day by participating in a stamp rally at the island’s museum. This event appears to be identical to the one from last year with little or no changes.
For the entire month of June, Reese and Cyrus are back at Harvey’s island to host wedding season. The event with taking photos with them is identical to last year, but this time you can order brand new wedding-themed furniture and fashion items in the Nook Shopping and Able Sisters stores.
More new seasonal items will be added to the game. Items that celebrate Japan’s Children’s Day (April 28th to May 5th), the UK’s annual Cheese Rolling event (May 22nd to May 31st), Mother’s Day (May 1st to May 31st), Father’s Day (June 1st to June 30th) and more will be purchasable as well.
Finally, there is a reminder that the Bug-Off and Fishing Tourney events will return for the summer months in the Northern Hemisphere.
It looks like these are all just minor changes with some additional items added to the game, so perhaps this indicates the end to major updates to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Players can download this free update on April 28.
