Major Nelson revealed on Twitter that the very popular and much requested game is now officially available for backwards compatibility on Xbox One. The first game, however, is not. Even so, it’s exciting news, and one that fans of both Xbox and Left 4 Dead have been waiting on for what feels like quite a while, especially with the rumors of it becoming backwards compatible earlier this year.

So for you Xbox One owners out there, go get playing. Should also help with the never-ending speculation/hype train that is the hypothetical Left 4 Dead 3. For the full list of backwards compatible Xbox titles available on Xbox One, view the list on Major Nelson’s site.
