Microsoft’s Adaptive Xbox controller has been a huge boon for the differently-abled gaming community, and a new video called “Meet Spencer Allen” is a reminder of just what a positive impact it’s been able to make for some individuals.
As we see in the video clip, Spencer was able to use the Adaptive controller as a foundation for building his own customized gaming set-up, tailored specifically to his needs.
Using 3D printing to forge the necessary pieces, Spencer designed a gaming tray that’s allowed him and his friends to once again play fast-paced shooters like Halo.
Clearly, the man is an extremely talented individual — the gaming tray looks superb and he went through 15 iterations before settling on the one you see in this video — but it’s a true showcase of just what an excellent device the Adaptive controller is.
