During E3 2016, Microsoft finally gave the first public teaser of Xbox Scorpio, which the console holder claims to be the most powerful games console built to date. Now it seems that in just under three months, fans are going to get another, presumably closer, look at Scorpio.

Microsoft announced today plans to host its E3 2017 media briefing on Sunday, June 11 at 2 p.m. PDT in Los Angeles’ Galen Center. Accompanying the announcement tweet were the words “Brace for big news” above a picture of the Xbox Scorpio motherboard first shown at last year’s E3, seemingly indicating that the six-terabyte console will be the main attraction.

Fans have of course assumed for some time now that Microsoft would focus on Scorpio during its 2017 E3 presentation, but they previously assumed that presentation wouldn’t happen until one day later on June 12, as the company has historically held the annual briefing on the Monday of E3 week.

This fan expectation was not lost on Microsoft. “Mark your calendar,” the announcement continued. “We’ve moved to Sunday.” Bethesda and Electronic Arts have also hosted Sunday events the past two years and last year, respectively, though neither has yet revealed its plans for this year’s convention.

The ESA, which runs the annual trade show, recently announced that 15,000 fans will be able to buy tickets to E3 this year. Though some fans were allowed in last year, the show has historically been open primarily to industry and press personnel.

Through a promotion called Xbox FanFest, Microsoft brought 500 fans to E3 in 2016, and Aaron Greenberg, the head of Xbox games marketing, has now revealed that the FanFest will return for this year’s E3. Greenberg added that details about the promotion would be announced later.
