Ready for your latest adventure with the Blue Bomber? The iconic character is making his way to consoles and PC later this year with a newly-announced release date for Mega Man 11. You’ll be able to jump, shoot, slide, and speed through brand new levels while fighting off eight new Robot Masters in this newest addition to the Mega Man series.
Take on Dr. Wily again as he puts something he’s created called the Double Gear system into the mix, which basically pushes robots beyond their original capabilities — that means bad news for you. Dr. Wily steals eight of Dr. Light’s robots for his own nefarious use, and that means Mega Man has to try to beat him at his own game. He asks Dr. Light to install the Double Gear system in him, too, and sets off to try and stop Dr. Wily from taking over the world and disrupting world peace. That’s just how he is, isn’t it?

The Double Gear system is a new and integral part of the new game, with functions like the Speed Gear that help Mega Man speed up and adapt to tricky situations. There’s also the Power Gear, which lets Mega Man go beyond his normal power constraints and charge up his attacks for devastating effect. Mega Man can also use both powers at once if things are getting really hairy, and they just might with all the eight new Robot Masters coming to stand in his way.
You’ll be able to pick up Mega Man 11 when it launches October 2 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
