Mecha Knights: Nightmare developer Damian Kubiak released a new video of his solo-developed mecha game, showing more progress.
This time around we get to see graphical improvement thanks to the transition to the latest version of Unity.
On top of that, we can take a look at a variety of missile weapon systems, both guided and unguided.
As usual, it looks quite impressive, especually considered that it’s made by a single developer.
You can enjoy the video below.
Set in 2049, Mecha Knights: Nightmare depicts a scenario in which monsters of unknown origin have appeared on Earth, and they’re gradually pushing humanity to the brink of annihilation.
Among the sources of inspiration, its creator cites Armored Core, Front Mission, Earth Defence Force, Resident Evil, Blue Gender, and Muv-Luv. Personally, I can say this makes the project even more promising. Anyone mentioning Muv-Luv and Blue Gender among their sources of inspiration has my attention. I’m quite sure reading the brief description above will prove familiar to the fans of said titles.
The release window listed on Steam is fall 2020. At the moment, no other platforms have been mentioned.
If you want to see more, you can enjoy the first video of the series, the second, and the third.
