As you can see in the tables below, Konami’s Digital Entertainment business (which includes games) performed very strongly with +31.8% higher revenue and +65.8% higher profit year-on-year.

The rest of Konami’s businesses underperformed due to the closures related to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Konami’s quarterly press release mentions the intention to release the publisher’s games on Amazon Luna and the fact that mobile games recorded a quarterly record for revenue. eBaseball Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2020 had a good start and shipped over 500,000 copies for PS4 & Switch.

As for the pipeline, which you’re seeing below, Konami is “working hard” to develop the two Edens Zero games announced for consoles and mobile.

At the moment, no specific platforms or release dates have been announced for the console version, but the trailer we saw was certainly promising, and it’s nice to see Konami return to this kind of game after a long absence. Will have to wait and see what happens.
