Kirby: Star Allies is the latest entry in the long-running series of Kirby games, and there’s a new trailer out in Japan that emphasizes a bit more of what the game will have on offer. You can see it below.
Everyone’s favorite pink puff is back with a vengeance with Kirby: Star Allies, where Kirby and friends must work together to fight off the advancing enemies. Kirby isn’t alone, not at all, with all his recruitable friends that actually come in the form of enemies. You can hit enemies with hearts and gather them as helpers for a small Kirby party of four characters. You can also enlist your friends (up to three) for team-based Kirby action.
Kirby’s HD outing also includes select copy abilities from the rest of the series, such as Fire, Sword, Water, Bomb, Broom, and many more. You can even use these copy abilities to combine them with other elements like fire, water, wind, and electricity to make them even more formidable attacks. Up to four players can join in on the game together with 8 Joy-Con controllers and 4 Joy-Con grips.
Kirby: Star Allies is targeting a March 16 release in North America, Europe, and Japan.
