Kingdom Hearts 3 Releases in 2018 With New Toy Story World

Finally, some sort of release date!
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

During Disney’s video game presentation during D23 today, Square Enix and Disney finally let the cat out of the bag as to when we might expect to see Kingdom Hearts 3. We can expect to see it during 2018, if all goes well.

That wasn’t the only bit of information shared during the show, as we got a massive glimpse at the Toy Story-themed world that Sora, Donald and Goofy will be exploring in-game. It’s a lush, fantastic-looking world where all the characters seem to have been given a toy-tastic makeover, with blocky joints and faces. Somehow the Heartless have made their way into this world, and there’s a brand new original storyline to go along with the Toy Story-themed world with new toys, Keyblades, and more.

You can see all the action in the trailer by way of Square Enix below. It’s not been dubbed just yet, but it should give you plenty of delicious Kingdom Hearts-based morsels to tide you over until 2018, which still feels like an awful long time to have to wait until we can invest ourselves once more in the narrative-rich world of keyblades and Heartless.
