Koei Tecmo General Producer Kou Shibusawa made an appearance at Sony’s TGS conference today, and revealed the release date for Nioh, their upcoming action RPG. While fans may be a little disappointed to know that the game won’t be coming out this year after all, like some had predicted, it is nice to know that the game will be enjoying a simultaneous worldwide launch in 2017.

There wasn’t any gameplay footage shown at the conference, but Shibusawa also spoke a bit about how the development team over at Team Ninja has worked hard on the game, and how they were glad to finally be able to announce a release date.

Nioh will be released for the PS4 on February 9 everywhere in the world.
