Katamari Damacy Rolls out on Switch With a Wacky Launch Trailer

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Starting off by rolling apples and other small items, Katamari Damacy soon has you rolling over skyscrapers and cows in order to put the stars back into the solar system – strict orders from the King of All Cosmos himself. This suped-up remaster of the beloved PS2 classic is now on the Nintendo Switch and Bandai Namco has released a new trailer.

Using the motion controls present in the Switch Joy-Con, controlling the little prince and his ever-growing ball of trinkets and trash has never felt so precise and enjoyable.

We reviewed Katamari Damacy and had such a fun and chill experience with the HD remaster. We gave the game a 4/5 with Twinfinite praising all of the games’ charm and wacky nature as well as the relaxing music.

“The soundtrack is wonderfully varied between boppy and more mellow tracks, making this one of the easiest games you can just chill with on a lazy weekday night. There’s something special about sitting on the constellations menu, listening to the dreamy and subtly melancholic Katamari Stars, as the little prince looks up at the endless cosmic expanse above him.”
