We also get a release date, for now confirmed for Japan and South East Asia on August 27.

Considering Bandai Namco’s standards, the western release date should be on the same date or the day after. It’ll likely be confirmed later today.

Update: Indeed, the western release date is August 28.

You can check out the trailer below, showing the many Shounen Jump heroes included in the game.

The Deluxe Edition will include the first character pass, which means that it’ll have over 50 characters out of the box, coming from 16 manga serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump.

When it was revealed, Bandai Namco Entertainment America senior brand manager Stephen Akana described it as follows.

“The casual pick up and play nature and multiplayer focus of JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition lends itself perfectly to Nintendo Switch. The large roster of players, explosive battles, and new features means limitless fun for players.”

Jump Force is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to know whether it’s any good, you can read our review.

We also get a reminder of the new character pass will include five characters, four of which remain unannounced. We do know that they are in order from Hunter X Hunter, YuYu Hakusho, Bleach, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The first is Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia.
