HuniePop 2 Gets Suprisingly Foreboding Trailer Focusing on the Story

HuniePop 2 developer Huniepot just released a brand new trailer of the upcoming puzzle-dating simulator.

The trailer focuses on the plot of the game (not that kind of plot!), and considering the tone of the franchise, it’s surprisingly foreboding.

Of course, the comedy isn’t really lost, but you’ll need to read (or listen) between the lines, at least a little.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see where the story will go, considering that it seems to have a more “cosmic” scope compared to the original HuniePop.

If you’re unfamiliar with the HuniePop franchise, the first game launched on Steam back in 2015 as a hybrid between a puzzle game, a visual novel, and a dating sim. Despite its rather alluring nature, it drew a lot of attention for its solid puzzle mechanics and the beautiful artwork.

HuniePop 2 will release in 2019 for PC. If you want to see (and hear) more, you can check out a video introducing new character Ashley and one sampling the voices of the cast.

Recently, we also learned that the game will launch censored on Steam just to stay on the safe side, but will receive an 18+ patch as the first game did.
