Metroidvania game, Hollow Knight, is launching for the Nintendo Switch today, Nintendo announced during its E3 2018 Direct today.
President and CEO of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aimé, revealed that the 2D platformer would be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop today. The Nintendo Switch port would also contain all previous downloadable content.
“Includes all of the new items, areas, characters, and bosses from the currently released free content packs; Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, and Lifeblood,” says the trailer’s YouTube description. “All players will also get access to the final free content pack, Gods and Glory, due later this year.”
Hollow Knight, developed and published by Australian studio Team Cherry, originally released for PC, Mac, and Linux in early 2017 after a successful Kickstarter in 2014. Nintendo announced the game would be coming to Nintendo Switch last year in a special Summer Nindies Showcase containing other indie titles such as Owlboy and SteamWorld Dig 2.
