Nintendo kicked off their Direct today with a wave of brand new 3DS announcements, including dates for some awaited titles. Hey! Pikmin is arriving on the Nintendo 3DS on July 28, for $39.99. Unlike previous entries in the series, Hey! Pikmin is actually a 2D platformer, where Olimar needs to use his Pikmin friends to advance through levels, and solve various puzzles.

Along with Hey! Pikmin, and adorable new Pikmin amiibo featuring the tiny little characters will launch alongside the new game.
