Greedfall Next-Gen Patch & Gold Edition Set to Launch Next Week

There’s a treat ahead for fans of Spiders Studio’s Greedfall next week as the developer has announced a new Gold Edition of the game launching next week, June 30, which enhances the game’s visuals and adds a new content expansion. Those who already own Greedfall will receive the performance enhancements as a free upgrade, and save files will transfer across from PS4 and Xbox One versions.

On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, players can look forward to enhanced visuals up to UHD native 4K, fast loading, and 60 frames per second performance.

Additionally, a new content expansion called The De Vespe Consipiracy adds a new chapter to the adventure. Here’s a story overview from publisher Focus Home Interactive:

“The De Vespe Conspiracy expands on GreedFall’s cherished world and story, inviting you to set foot on a previously undiscovered region of Teer Fradee and tackle a brand new intrigue. Navigate a web of lies, manipulation and secrets, as you unravel a nefarious conspiracy that threatens the balance of power. Explore an uncharted region of the island, battle strange new beasts, upgrade your equipment with new gear and face off against a villainous new enemy faction in your hunt to uncover the truth.”

If you’ve not played Greedfall and want to jump on board with the Gold Edition, here’s an overview of everything inside. It’s in French, but you should be able to work out what’s going on!

Twinfinite reviewed Greedfall back in 2019 when it first launched and scored it 3.5/5, which is considered “Fair” on our rubric. There are elements to the game we very much enjoyed, while others we found lacking. It should be noted that updates since the games release may have addressed some of its original shortcomings.
