Irving was picked for his list of accolades including 2012 Rookie of the Year award, 2014 NBA All-Star Game MVP, and his performance in the 2016 NBA Finals when the Cavaliers made a comeback over the Golden State Warriors from a 3-1 lead. The point guard averaged 27.1 points per game.

“It is well known that I’m an avid player of this series and I am honored to be the cover athlete of NBA 2K18,” said Kyrie Irving in a press release. “It’s surreal to be featured on the cover and I can’t wait to dominate on the virtual court with all of my fans this fall.”
