Epic Games has announced in Fortnite that its Winterfest holiday event will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The news comes via an in-game announcement that appears when players select whether they want to play the Save the World or Battle Royale game mode. Epic Games has not yet released a blog post announcing the contents of Fortnite’s Winterfest just yet.

What we do know according to the in-game announcement of Fortnite’s Winterfest is that it’ll bring ‘seasonal fun, challenges, and free presents.’

The challenges will most likely be things like tracking down a hidden collectible scattered across the map, dressing up as a Sneaky Snowman, and other little tasks with a suitably festive theme. Completing these will also likely net players things like a festive back bling, harvester/ pick axe, and maybe a new unlockable style for existing skins, too.

This is us predicting what to expect based on the little in-game teaser for Winterfest, and what we saw in last year’s 14 Days of Fortnite.

Fortnite’s map has already been partially covered with snow, and the ‘Presents’ item has arrived back in game. Once picked up and thrown, this item deploys a giant present containing lots of rare and powerful items in it.

We’ll be covering Fortnite’s Winterfest event in all its entirety once it goes live on Dec. 17, so be sure to keep it locked to Twinfinite for all your challenge guide needs.
