Epic Games has today shared the latest item coming to Fortnite Battle Royale. The Port-a-Fort which offers a speedy, defensive position when you’re in a pickle, is due to hit the game soon.

The news comes via a tweet from the official Fortnite Twitter account revealing the new throwable item. According to the tweet, players will be able to fortify themselves in a matter of seconds. The accompanying video made it all look incredibly helpful, especially if you tend to find yourself caught off-guard when on the move. You can check it out below.

Currently, it remains unclear whether the Port-a-Fort will always build the same shape structure every time you throw one. However, taking a closer look at the image of it at the end of the clip, you can see that funnel-topped design on all of the blue circular sides.

The Port-a-Fort doesn’t have a confirmed release date as of yet, but chances are that we’ll see it arrive in this Thursday’s update, as that tends to be the way things go with these Tuesday content reveals.

Fortnite Battle Royale’s community has also been losing its collective mind recently over the comet flying overhead and rumored to be heading towards Tilted Towers. Though it’s all just fan theories right now, it makes for an interesting read all the same.
