Nintendo is taking the real-time strategy series that is Pikmin and turning it into a 2D side-scroller for the 3DS. Hey! Pikmin is set to launch alongside Miitopia and the New Nintendo 2DS XL on July 28.

Instead of the traditional gameplay that Pikmin offers, Hey! Pikmin gives Captain Olimar and his Pikmin a new perspective on things. Use the touchscreen to throw different-colored Pikmin at enemies and use the dual-screens to reach high treasures and rare items.

Nintendo’s upcoming title is coming out soon so new footage has popped up showing off more of the gameplay and just how you’ll be using the Pikmin to escape this strange new world.
