While Final Fantasy XV may be the big focus for Square Enix right now, it has a couple other titles from the series at this year’s Tokyo Game Shows. One of those is Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, the HD remake of the classic PlayStation 2 title.
A new trailer released today gives us a look at how good the remaster of Final Fantasy XII is looking, and inviting players back into the world of Ivalice. There’s plenty of footage shown off both from cutscenes and battles in the game. Take a look at the full trailer down below.
The Zodiac Age not only features remastered visuals, but a number of gameplay reworkings and improvements. A high-speed mode has been added, to make exploration and combat quicker, and the difficulty has also bee rebalanced to make things a bit easier for players. On top of that, the license board system from the original is gone and replaced by a more traditional job system, letting players assign roles to each of their characters.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is due out sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation 4.
