The series flourished under Ubisoft and several more installments were released. However, by the end of the PS3/Xbox 360 era, the series seemed to be put on ice and the Assassin’s Creed franchise appears to have taken its place.

Jordan Mechner, the creator of Prince of Persia, recently took to Twitter to reveal that he is eager to see the dashing Prince return and that he and a few other people are fighting hard to try and make sure that happens.
