Ahead of KH3 in some areas, but don't get too excited just yet.

In an interview with Weekly Famitsu (via Gematsu), Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura has suggested there will be further silence on information about the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

When asked about development updates for the game, Nomura, who is also directing Kingdom Hearts 3 stated it was unlikely the developer would share any further information about the game as they switched from external to internal development. He did, however, mention that Final Fantasy VII Remake is actually ahead of Kingdom Hearts III in some parts, such as cut scenes.

After the teaser trailer and then subsequent gameplay footage seen at E3 and PlayStation Experience 2015, Final Fantasy VII Remake has gone dark. Fans expecting the games episodic nature to speed up delivery of the game have been disappointed by the all-too-familiar slow development pace of Square Enix’s games. Indeed, after Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III’s torturously slow development cycle, it looks as though we’re in for the long haul again.
