If there’s one thing the new Unreal Engine 4 is good at, it’s reimagining our favorite gaming classics in stunning beauty. Case in point? cryZENx‘s retelling of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Great Fairy encounter:

To the swirling pools of enchanted water, from the way Young Link’s Phrygian cap bounces to and fro, this is an experience all Zelda fans drool about. One thing to look out for in the video is the effects of the Great Fairy being summoned out of the water. Look at the swirling of the leaves and the way the effect lights up the entire cave. Our eyes demand more!

As previously stated, the highlight of the video is Young Link’s character model. It seems cryZENx did their research and looks almost like a 1:1 replica of earlier Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time artwork. Besides the tunic and hat, Link’s Deku Shield looks spectacular with the grain of the wood from the shield looking eerily lifelike.

Since you’ve stayed here this long, you might as well check out the grand finale of cryZENx’s work: the Temple of Time recreated in Unreal Engine 4 — you deserve it:
