Lost On Mars will introduce a completely new array of weapon and enemy types to combat against on the planet’s surface. Ubisoft has been pretty mum on further details of the expansion, but players won’t have to wait long as the expansion will be available on July 17.

This expansion is the second in the previously announced three DLC packs announced for Far Cry 5.  Hours of Darkness was the first to be released, letting you play as Hope County resident Wendell Redler during his tour in the Vietnam War. Lost On Mars will clearly continue on this trend of stepping into the shoes of Hope County characters. The focus of the third expansion, Dead Living Zombies, has yet to be announced.

Far Cry 5 released earlier this year to fairly positive acclaim. In the main campaign, players take on the role of a rookie deputy, aptly nicknamed “Rook”, as you attempt to free Montana from the grip of a religious cult called Eden’s Gate. While it wasn’t perfect, Twinfinite gave it a 4 out 5 and said “Its sprawling world, varied missions, and memorable characters all make for an incredibly entertaining experience”.
