During a panel at Quakecon, Bethesda talked about the future of Fallout 76.
Following some time spent talking about past updates and how they changed the game, the developers showcased the new Fallout Worlds feature that will come with the major update on September 8, 2021.
We heard about public worlds and custom worlds, in which players can decide the ruleset however they like.
To have your own custom private worlds you need to be a Fallout First member, but if you aren’t, you can still play on one owned by a friend.
We also hear and see about the other features coming with the update in September, and upcoming events including the one for Halloween. More seasonal events will come later this year.
You can check out the video below. There is quite a bit to see. You can also try Fallout Worlds yourself on the public test server.
Fallout 76 is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’d like to hear more about the game, you can check out our review. Admittedly, the game has evolved a lot since then, so it’s not exactly up to date.
Earlier today, during the Quakecon programming, we also saw an in-depth look at Deathloop’s multiplayer PvP mode.
