A new Evolve trailer details some of the gameplay and aesthetic designs Turtle Rock Studios will improve on for the game’s new free to play model on PC.

The trailer reintroduces several of the original game’s gigantic creatures, specifying that the classic Hunt mode has been redesigned, making it that “all players can dome”. The game’s maps and characters have also been adjusted, with a new perk system for both the monster and hunters.

The video also mentions that players can access all of the game’s content for free.

The trailer follows a recent blogpost by Turtle Rock Studios who opened up on the need to better support the 4v1 hunt or be hunted multiplayer game.

“…When Evolve launched, the reception wasn’t what we expected,” said Co-Founder of Turtle Rock Studios Chris Ashton.

“The DLC shitstorm hit full force and washed away people’s enthusiasm, dragging us further and further from that first magical pick-up-and-play experience…We’re giving this game a vigorous overhaul!”

The team will improve the game’s UI, loading times and overall performance, stability and fixing bugs; as well as add more customization options alongside other new additions.

Published by 2K Games, Evolve was first launched on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in February last year. Stage Two of the game will launch as a free to play game on PC.
