The 20 million-seller, battle royale style game that is Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is headed to mobile platforms. This news comes from a press release from the Chinese company ‘Tencent’ (via Polygon).
Tencent says that the mobile version of PUBG will “perfectly restore the classic gameplay and elements of the original PC game on mobile.” The company will be launching the title for a Chinese audience before it sees release anywhere else. The company did not state a release date for this mobile version of the popular shooter, but considering that PUBG has sold more than 20 million units, it’s only a matter of time before we hear about a western release on the modified mobile version.
