Over at the Square Enix blog, the company has published the first in a series of blog entries that will outline their plans and showing for this year’s E3 conference. Square Enix has promised that there will be more demos for upcoming titles including Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Hitman, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, and I Am Setsuna. They’ve also mentioned that they’ve got “exciting news” about Tomb Raider coming up soon in future blog entries.
The following games will have playable demos at the Square Enix booth in the Los Angeles convention center:
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution®, builds on the franchises trademark choice and consequence, action-RPG based gameplay, to create both a memorable and highly immersive experience. Players will once again take on the role of Adam Jensen, now an experienced covert agent, and will gain access to his new arsenal of customizable state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations. With time working against him, Adam must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.
Hitman
Our Episodic release of the latest Hitman game is in full steam and we’ll be releasing information about the third installment of our seven-part World of Assassination experience. We’ve previously shown Paris & Sapienza. What exciting destination will Agent 47 head to next?
Hitman is the sixth game in the blockbuster series and is the culmination of a journey started by Io-Interactive more than 17 years ago. It builds on the critically acclaimed and commercially successful foundation of games like Silent Assassin, Blood Money and the recent Hitman: Absolution.
Just Cause 3
Our newest Just Cause 3 DLC entitled the “Land Mech Assault” pack will be playable. Previously released DLC, “Sky Fortress,” took to the air as Rico Rodriguez got a massive upgrade to his wing suite. This latest DLC takes Rico’s chaos causing arsenal back to land where he’ll be able to take control of some devastating mechanized weapons.
The Mediterranean republic of Medici is suffering under the brutal control of General Di Ravello, a dictator with an insatiable appetite for power. Enter Rico Rodriguez, a man on a mission to destroy the General’s hold on power by any means necessary. Established in August 2014, Tokyo RPG Factory is a new studio within Square Enix specializing in Japanese RPGs. The studio revisits the ethos and practices used to develop for the 16-bit era and aims to re-introduce the classic JRPG style to current hardware, mixing the spirit of the past with technologies of today.
