The game will be launched in the west for Nintendo Switch and PS4 on July 12. The game will be priced at  $59.99.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 will add online multiplayer on top of the structure of the first game, and it’ll come with the following features:

  • Construct bigger structures with more variety and options than before,
  • Travel faster by soaring, swimming and dashing through the expansive world,
  • Inspire villagers to help out alongside them,
  • Create their own farms and raise a multitude of crops,
  • Divert flowing water to create your own rivers, waterfalls, and swimming holes,
  • First-person mode and more.

Below you can check out a trailer released by Square Enix which also revealed the PS4 release of the game (which of course was omitted during the Nintendo Direct).

We also got a batch of screenshots and artwork directly from Square Enix.

In other Dragon Quest News, today we also got the confirmation of the western launch of Dragon Quest XI S for Nintendo Switch this fall, and of the production of a Dragon Quest 3D CG movie titled “Your Story” that will premiere in Japan in August.
