If you were salivating at the thought of playing as your favorite character in the upcoming fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ during its closed beta, it looks like you’ve still got a little more time to wait to try it out, unfortunately. Registration for the beta was to begin today, July 26, but now it’s been pushed back to August 22.
That’s just about a month left to wait, but it’s no doubt frustrating to have to wait to get your hands on it after waiting so long to give it a try, but Bandai Namco has offered an explanation via Facebook as to why the signups were delayed.
“Due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we have decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta,” Bandai Namco explained. Essentially, this means there’s a whole lot of people who want in. The new closed beta period will run from September 16 through September 18.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will release in full on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018. It could be coming to Switch at some point, but Bandai Namco is instead focusing on the Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which is still planned for release on September 22. There’s a lot of stuff to be excited about if you’re a Dragon Ball fan these days, so make sure you don’t miss out on registration signups.
