Today Bandai Namco announced via press release the western release date for its upcoming farming sim-meets-classic anime Doraemon Story of Seasons.
The game will launch in the west on November 11, for Nintendo Switch and PC.
On top of the announcement, we also get a batch of screenshots localized in English, showcasing the pastel-colored world of the game and its familiar characters.
Doraemon Story of Seasons is published by Bandai Namco and co-developed by Marvelous Entertainment and Brownies. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s basically a match made in heaven between the Story of Seasons series by Marvelous and the old and glorious Doraemon manga and anime series. I would say that’s as appropriate and as wholesome as it comes.
The Doraemon series is one of the longest-running of the history of the medium, with the manga serialized for 26 years in Japan, and multiple anime series that have aired up until now since 1972, counting over 2,400 episodes including the special ones.
If you want to see more of the game, you can enjoy a recent trailer showing interaction with the villagers, a commercial for the Japanese release (which was released on June 13 for Switch only), alongside another recent trailer, and the first one released for the western version.
