Ahead of the game’s launch next week, Bethesda has released the launch trailer for its upcoming shooter, Doom.

The launch trailer starts off showing your character awakening on some form of ritual table in the bowels of hell. Things aren’t looking too good… until you grab a demon’s head, slam it into a wall, and escape.

Of course, that’s just a precedent for the brutal action on display in the rest of the launch trailer. With brutal melee attacks, the Super Shotgun, a chainsaw and all other sorts of crazy weaponry on show, things get a bit gory and chaotic. You can check it out for yourself below.

The launch trailer was released alongside the news of the install size of the game, minimum and recommended PC requirements, and server launch times. Just a heads up for console owners, you may need to free up some space on your hard drive for this one.

Doom is due to launch on May 13 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In other Bethesda news, the publisher confirmed that Dishonored 2 will be launching worldwide this November. As for other announcements, all eyes will turn to Bethesda’s E3 conference in just over a month’s time.

Will you be picking up Doom when it launches next week? Let us know in the comments below.
