Did You Find Doom’s Fallout Easter Eggs?

The new Doom released today – or DOOM, if you like to think the title is being screamed from the depths of Hell – and players are already on the hunt for easter eggs. As it turns out, the developers dropped a subtle but definite nod to the world of Fallout in between the bouts of demon slaying.

Just beyond the game’s first gore chest, Reddit user shinto29 found a logo for Vault-Tec, the company behind the maniacal vaults of the Fallout series. That’s not the only Wasteland nod in Doom; players can also find a collectible “Vault Guy” figurine within the game.

In other news, a Doom-themed car will be racing at the Indianapolis 500 this month. “We couldn’t imagine a more perfect sponsorship fit,” said Bethesda’s Pete Hines. “Doom is all about pushing forward with incredible speed.”
